The Red River Rats take their name in honor of an elite group of fighter pilots from all branches of the armed forces, The Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Organization, who showed us what makes True Heroes by their actions during the Vietnam War and continued by their work with children of POW/MIA/KIA airmen.
